Incito Design Logo

Workplace design isn’t about fashionable paint or expensive furniture.

It’s about small changes that will help make your workplace more productive, more enjoyable for your staff and make the right impression on your clients.

Our Workplace Roadmap is a simple, easy guide to let you prioritise the most important changes to your space. You’ll be able to work towards your ideal working environment as your budget allows.

The Workplace
Roadmap
Process

Every business needs different things from their space. We’ll meet to decide how you’d ultimately like your office to work and feel - whether you need the space to be more usable, more enjoyable, or both. This stage is crucial - agreeing on the key areas for improvement will mean we set the right brief to build the perfect space for your business.

Your Workplace Roadmap will identify the key areas for improvement and list the small, incremental changes you can make that will help you eventually create your perfect working environment. They’ll be listed in order of priority so you know you’re investing in the things that will make the biggest impact to your business and staff culture.

Situation: Fuel Advertising are a creative bunch and their space was not giving them the support they required. They are also proud to be a 100% kiwi-owned agency. Their current space had no arrival point for visitors, was cluttered with randomly spaced workstations and had no real overall theme to express their brand.

Solution: Once these key areas were identified, we produced a Workplace Roadmap for the Fuel team. Now, they're well on their way to creating their very own hot-house of creativity!

Situation: Tandem needed more space but didn’t want to relocate. They had high screens, no interaction amongst staff and nowhere for people to relax. Clients had to walk through their workspace to get to the meeting room.
Solution: We created a reception area so Tandem now has a dedicated client area. We introduced new desking with lower screens which allows the office to connect, seats more people and achieves a lighter workspace. There is now a 'lounge' for people to collaborate with their fellow colleagues.

Situation: The Common Room team moved into new premises and wanted to build on their existing branding experience for both themselves and clients visiting their space.

Solution: With a very strong retro theme being created, we worked together to ensure that this brand was visible in every aspect of their workspace. From the arrival point through to the workstation layout through to the cutlery being served in meetings!

Increasing numbers of employees do not consider that they need to be in an office, to be productive. Read my blog on the Blacksmith website for more:

blacksmith.co.nz/blog/the-workplace-needs-soul-but-are-we-in-danger-of-losing-it

Situation: Alaska needed to move premises and engaged Incito Design to do some preliminary space planning to confirm that their new space would answer their business needs. They wanted to future-proof the space to allow for their ever expanding team but also create a workplace environment that reflected their culture.
Solution: Deciding to take on the entire building we worked within the building constraints and created three separate tenancies. This allowed Alaska to create the space they required while having other tenants to help pay the bills!

Situation: Katie had moved into new premises and created a reception area that was also her kitchen. It is not the first room you arrive at so people were having trouble locating it!

Solution: The space was confusing people so we had to reassure them that they were welcome to sit and wait for Katie and her team. To ensure visitors knew they were in the right place we changed the existing waiting chairs to lighter, colourful chairs and added some wall art to create a feeling of space to the room.

Are you frustrated with your workplace not having enough space?

Have you run out of storage places?

Is the whole place just feeling tired and cluttered?

For more helpful tips, read my blog on the Blacksmith website:

blacksmith.co.nz/blog/workplace-design-get-the-basics-right
